Isaan is "booming" so also Mahasarakham

a few weeks ago the new Sermthai Shopping centre is opened

A big Complex with Tesco Lotus and EGV Cinema's etc.

For the Mac fans soon will be also open iBeat.

You will find the centre on Nakhon Sawan Road near the University ( road 208)

I heard that there was a new Mall there yesterday morning, so I drove over from Kalasin, but I was told that it was on the same road as Big C, which I drove from one side of town to the other, and did not find it... I guess that I will need to return with hopefully much better directions next time... Hopefully someone can give me directions from the road coming into town from Yang Talat... Also a short "Review" of whether it is worth the half hour drive or not???

If coming from yang talat, drive keep driving past big c, past MSU, until you come to the Sam Yaek Kalasin intersection / traffic lights. Turn right, drive past MSU, just after the road curves left you'll see it on the left hand side, next to the Rajaphat

It's definitely worth checking out. Not anywhere near as big as central in kk, although has most of the same stores, but the best mall in Sarakham/RoiEt (and i assume kalasin too) by a long way (and probably closer to you than kk)

Thanks for the quick response and excellent directions... Will probably head over that way tomorrow, and Yes, I am sure that it is bigger than anything in Kalasin... Although they have started construction on a New Big C of our own here in Kalasin... This whole area is Exploding with expantion, New Big C in Roi Et, and now soon Kalasin, plus the new Mall in Mahasarakham... Plus heard that Villa Markets out of Bangkok will soon open a store in Udon with a future location planed for Khon Kaen...

Passed through Sarakham bus station today

Looked out of the bus window and and saw 6 different people all carrying multi coloured Harrod's shopping bags.

Last time i was in Harrod's (5 years ago) the only coloured bags were green.

Can someone please give GPS co ords or map for those of us coming in from different directions. I personally would be coming in from the Borabue side.
