Ais Signal Problem?

Featured Replies

Anyone notice that the 3G and overall signal has been pretty bad lately? I am using an iPhone 4 and lately it seems that 3G is barely useable and is mostly on Edge. This in Central BKK around Asoke, Siam and Silom.

Have you reached your gigabyte limit?

Nope, not even close to it. Problem is that it keeps switching from 3G to edge and back to 3G. Phone calls seem to dropping a lot more than before as well.

Did the service work acceptably for you before? Is this a recent issue?

Obviously the areas you mention have the highest concentration of users, and AIS does always seem to have capacity issues as they have the most customers, and perhaps the most convoluted network.

In any event, there have been similar observations (AIS: Siam - Asoke) for a few years - I could probably find many similar threads - so maybe something you'll have to adjust to?

Yes, Asoke is especially bad and the last few days it has been virtually impossible to use 3G.

I also have a lot of problems with voice calls around Asoke.

Let's hope that things improve when they role out the "true" 3G.

That's what the call center told me. Soon as the upgrade is done by March it will be much better. Hope that its true.
