I'd say FAIL this year.

The CBS streaming website never seemed to work with a non U.S. connection. And even with a U.S. connection, it never would play for me for more than a minute or so before stalling. Made it impossible to watch the game there, notwithstanding CBS's promises in advance of better performance than last year with NBC.

Same with a free accounnt with USTVNow. From the very outset, got a message from their website saying all their free account connections had been used, and never could get it to play at at all.

Fortunately, there were a variety of options available via StreamTorrent and various third party websites... Able to catch most of the game live there...with only a few dropouts...

And then the stadium power went out. Yikes!!!!

I paid 9.99 to NFL.com for the SB game. Best 10 bucks I ever invested. The streaming was flawless and HD quality. Never missed a second of action or the half time show. They blacked out 2 ads for some reason but 99 percent were shown. Even the power outage at the Dome was shown as it happened. I guess Truevisions went to a service screen during that?

First time I have ever tried the NFL game pass and for me this was a real winner. I will consider Game Pass next season for sure

Watched it on True this year but used Gamepass last year, it was excellant. When the lights went out True brought up ADs as a filler with no explanation of what happened. Went to NFL.com and found out about the power.

Interesting... GamePass is the online, real-time live broadcast of NFL games.... VERY expensive if done for the season.... I didn't know the NFL sold the Super Bowl as a standalone (live) game purchase.

I have NFL Game Rewind (the 24 hour delayed online version) for both the regular season and the playoffs, which is a bargain by comparison pricewise.

But the Super Bowl is the one game during the year where I fear being able to successfully avoid hearing/seeing about the outcome of the game before I can watch it online via streaming. Hence I was watching it live online the other day....although not paying to do so.

The StreamTorrent feeds actually were fine... you just had to find a good and stable one...and not one of those that stopped midway through the game. I ended up watching the version broadcast via SkySports out of the UK.
