Welcoming The New Overlords

Welcoming the new overlords

You have to hand it to Europe. They're getting so good at appeasing Muslim "sensitivities", they have actually started to anticipate their demands in exciting new ways:

The new sobriety: Covering up the body

Paris: The forecast for the new fashion season is as somber as it is certain. It is going to be a long dark winter.

"After a decade of free-fall hipster pants, bared midriffs, bras on show under sheer dresses and naked legs, fashion has started on its great coverup. Forget girlie frills and celebrities flashing flesh on the red carpet. The typical outfit in the current international fashion collections is in any color as long as it is black with a silhouette long, lean and layered."

The death of Europa and birth of Eurabia is a fascinating thing to watch, but it's certainly not anything new, by historical standards. Once again, the way of the invader is being paved by - you guessed it - the liberal intelligensia... :o

Give it a rest Boon Mee. Why don't you post a non-political topic for a change. Just to show us you can.

Actually I find this article fascinating and not political at all. Fashion has always been influenced by cultural trends including politics, religion, social fads, etc. I find womens fashions, in particular, to be a bit confused these days- a reflection on the state of mainstream society perhaps? Although I wouldn't be caught dead in a muslim shroud - I do welcome a bit of tasteful choice on the racks.

Boon just had to make it political, failing to realise this is about international fashion trends and not what he is ranting on about. Apparently he doesn't know about the headscarf ruling in France, either. :D

Shooting himself in the foot again, poor lad. :o

I do agree as a man, (and my wife thinks so too!) that it's a real bummer when all the stores stock nothing but revealing clothes! I prefer when a woman is tastefully dressed. It's not me being prudish, it's that many modern fashion trends have gone too far. Let's leave something to the imagination!

Also, using khall64's words, a bit of 'tasteul' choice would be appreciated.

Suegha, you'r a man?

I've been labouring under the misconception that you were a lady called Sue.

Guess I'll have to get used to a boy named Sue instead.

Me too! :o

there is something about this./..... I made the same mistake regarding suegha's gender.

I think there may be a bit of everything in our dear suegha.. OR *sudden brainwave* maybe Suegha is both he and his wife when he's not online... A puzzle, one that may or may not ever be clarified.

Don't know about that. :o

Show me a comment of Suegha which made you think it might be a woman...
