Excuse my ignorance. but i am trying to keep track of all the uniforms in this country..

Is this guy from the AirBourne division of the fire brigade ?

( tounge planted firmly in cheek)

Remember all males have to be ready for "National Service" as we called in in the UK. There is a draw and if your number is drawn, you go in.

Many people wear their insignia when moving to another uniformed job. (Have you seen School Teachers? - Half look like spaghetti on their chest)

But maybe he is a member of the Fire Dept's "Flying squad" (Another English slang for quick response unit)

Try fixing that for 200,000 Baht in the West...

try fixing that for 200 000 baht in Thailand...

Furniture with tv alone would cost 50 000,

bathroom with labor add another 15 000.

you would be struggling to get it done for 200 k

Having done full commercial renovation for my hotel the good old days are gone, these days they charge 550 just to change the lock,700 baht for running tap.

PS. Love the shoes in the pic? are they crocs? :)

PPS. Whats with the pointing? can anyone be confused what has been damaged?blink.png

200,000 Baht's? Where do these reporters go to school? They are BAHT! It doesnt

matter if you have one or a million, they are still BAHT!

Actually this is not "Bahts" (plural) it is "Baht's" (apostrophe). The apostrophe is there to show the possessive case in relation to the amount of the damage, which was the subject of the phrase (200,000 Baht's worth of damage).

The grammar was perfectly correct so you can <deleted>. wai2.gif

Now that you said it, I don't have too...thumbsup.gif

If English is not your first language, you may wish to check with others before criticizing someone else.

BTW doesn't needs an apostrophe as it is an abbreviation of does not.
