Video Diary Feature On My Canon Sx50Hs

Featured Replies

I have been experimenting with this feature on my new camera...it is quite interesting. It makes a very short video clip when you take a still photo, and combines them all into one long video from each days shots. It is a bit erratic and as the manual says it shoots a video from 2 to 4 seconds in length starting before you press the shutter. It would have been better if it was 5 seconds and with a couple of seconds before and after the shot.

examples here......

with the still shots in this set.... http://www.flickr.com/photos/28361002@N07/sets/72157632796816010/

Interesting! I guess you need to remember to hold the camera steady Freddie! biggrin.pngwhistling.gif

But are you able to pick a frame from the video? That would / could be useful!

Lucky your local school looks like they do their School day during the day.... here at the local school to me, they do in the evening, so not so good for pictures! Nearly always a light in front of you! bah.gif

So, is Pigeon Pie on the menu in your parts?wink.png

Not take a frame from the video..... You take a still and it also makes a video clip too.

I have saved a frame from the video when opened in VLC player.

Yes my hands are shakey.

It still combines the clips even if some are in vertical and others in horizontal format., but frame saves in VLC of vertical shots will be small size.
