Mystery surrounds an Italian man’s apparent suicide attempt in Jomtien.

Police were called to the Whitehouse Hotel just off Jomtien Beach, late on Monday Night after Hotel staff reported a possible suicide attempt at the location. Police and rescue workers converged on the scene and found Mr. Mike Deeser aged 32 from Italy lying on the ground at the rear of the hotel. It appeared that he had either fallen or jumped from the fourth floor of the hotel. He was quickly immobilized by rescue workers who suspected neck and spinal injuries and was taken to the Bangkok-Hospital. Hotel staff confirmed that the victim was not a guest at their hotel.

At the hospital Doctors confirmed that he was intoxicated and sustained only minor head injuries. He refused to speak about the incident and for now Police are unsure exactly what happened. However, they do suspect, because of his depressed state, that he did attempt to take his own life. He is now in the hands of Italian Embassy Officials who are trying to unravel this mystery.
