I've got a problem with my 35L. On the middle AF point it is front focusing, but on the right AF points it is back focusing. I can't have it like this, so I'm going to leave my 35L and 5D3 at Canon service center, and have them calibrate the lens to my camera.

Does anyone know how long this will take? Has anyone here dealt with them before?

When I took my G10 in to have a damaged lens fixed/replaced, they told me it would take a week to 10 days. I had it back in 3 days.

I have been very pleased with Canon Thailand service.

Depends also on the availability of the spare parts, coming from the Singapore HQ.

Anyway very professional and if in a hurry, don't go at Canon 4th floor of MBK but at the main office (see website for the address), much more fast (more technicians)

I have had good reasonably fast service from Canon in BKK... My local shop on Samui, ships it up (no charge other than postage)/ shipping 200 baht if I remember) .... and has it returned... for me to pick up! ... about 2 weeks~thumbsup.gif

It's Sony that has the worst service.... months and months of waiting blink.pngsad.png

Yes; the MBK office is a satellite of the main office. They do firmware, cleaning and may even do calibration. Most "parts" issues will be sent to the main center.

However, because I was at MBK when my lens went south and locked up, I took it to the 5th floor center, located behind Foto File. That is where I was told a week plus, but still got it back in my hands in 3 days, even being sent to, and returned from, the main office.

Like I said, I have been very impressed with Canon Thailand service. I would imagine that, not only will the calibration be done, your equipment will go through a thorough cleaning.
