Beating children
Oh mky, For one you claim to have studied psychology for 35 years, you do not know much do you. You are to fixated in being politically correct. Racism and fear for foreigners is in our dna, and with right thinking of everything foreigners could bring to the table of pandemics, illnesses as well cultural differences leading to conflicts. We are trained and reached it is wrong since we are kids. Some kids are mor outgoing than others, but the norm for kids, is to be afraid of foreigners especially if family is not close by. Same goes for animals, and we are animals, do not forget that. In prehistoric times, being cautious of unfamiliar groups could have been advantageous for survival, as they might have posed threats of violence, resource competition, or disease -

Traveling to Laos & applying for the O visa. So many questions & conflicting advice
Hey @SpartanDet, this is from our experience: After you submit the Non-O application online, you just need to go to the Thai embassy in Vientiane to pay the fee. That’s really the main in-person step. They might ask for a short personal interview, so it’s good to be prepared. We confirmed that Kor Ror 2 and Kor Ror 3 in Thai are enough. No need to translate them if they’re clear and official. If you’re submitting to a Thai embassy and the docs are in Thai, that’s fine. We also asked about processing time. They said it usually takes around 5 working days, and Vientiane tends to be quicker than other embassies, though timing can always vary. Hope this helps, safe trip to Laos and good luck with the visa! -

Short-Time Life vs. Thai Wife Life: Who’s Actually Winning?
I think for some of us as we get older the sex is still fun but it no longer takes front seat, and is no longer quite as important as it used to be. So what remains? Hopefully a very good friendship, enjoying time together on a daily basis, having each other's back all the time, making each other laugh and a feeling of well-being waking up next to somebody that you adore. It's pretty hard to put a price on that. I think if something were to happen to my woman or to our relationship I would probably remain single and go the short time route from this point forward. Having said that I'm very grateful for our relationship, and I wouldn't trade it for anything. I have a lot of single friends and most of them would prefer to be in a wonderful and meaningful relationship. Some simply can't afford one, and some just don't have the good fortune to meet the right woman, who is a great fit. I'm kind of at a point in my life where I have very low tolerance for nonsense, so there's a fairly narrow band of women that I would be really compatible with. I lived alone for 21 years prior to meeting my gal, I had a series of relationships, but none of them were really meaningful to the point where I wanted to devote my life to the woman. So, I have a bit of perspective on the matter, thankfully. And alot of gratitude. -
