One Of North Thailands Best Road Trips - 8 Miles From Home

Featured Replies

Road Tripping in Thailand is something we always recommend to visitors who visit Chiang Mai and the North. So when J's middle brother Kamal El-haj & our friends from the UK came to visit, it was a 'must do' event.

Naturally the Mk1 Ford Escort was put to work as we hit the grueling mountain passes from Chiang Mai to Mae Hong Son & on to Pai. But this time it had a road companion, the 'DENCH' Hilux pick up truck. Lovingly Graffiti'd by seasoned travel buddy Simon Holmes.

Jmayel, Sacha, Kamal, Michelle, Simon, Charmian, Paul, Adam, Eden and Bruce the Bear Wayne (Adams Mascot) set out to condense as many feel good experiences into to the short time they spent together. Riding Thai style in the back of the truck, getting baked in the burning sun, sliding the rocks at Mo Paeng Waterfall, watching the sun go down at the Chinese Village Viewpoint in Pai and hitting the many bars that Thailand has on offer.

8 miles from home Episode 11 is a cinematic Road Tripping video of the good times spent together as family and friends.

Sorry we missed you all at the Lost Hut but looks like Chai shook up some cocktails for you. Good job switching up the format a bit in this one. I can't put my finger on where you are narrating from walking along the dam? So can you recommend a good mechanic in Chiang Mai yet or do you keep trying different places searching for the right one? That's pretty much what I do!

most enjoyable

Of what possible interest could this pointless video be to anyone genuinely seeking information about "Northern" Thailand?

If you want to console UK people that they don't necessarily have to miss their local pub with its darts board when they come to a foreign country, well ok ,no problem.

Very nice to see someone showing the "upside" of northern Thailand !

thanks, ~o:37;

Please enlighten us on why this video must only be directed at "anyone genuinely seeking information about "Northern" Thailand?"

We could say the same about the post above;

"Of what possible interest could Blazes pointless post be to anyone genuinely seeking information about "Northern" Thailand?"

I am personally not necessarily looking for information about Northern Thailand but I have found all 8 Miles From Home videos to be well-produced entertaining eye candy. That being said, I have picked up some interesting bits of information such as places to visit in Northern Thailand too.
