I read somewhere that Kor 2 has to be no older than 30 days. Is it true? If, it is, why?

My Kor 2 is from Jan 2012, the time i got married and submitted the first time in April 2012. It went fine...

You need to go to the Amphoe and get a new Kor Ror 2 every year for your extension. It is proof that you are still married and have not gotten divorced.

The 30 days before application is suggested because this is a standard here for date sensitive documents.

When applying at Khon Kaen last month the Officer gave the original Kor Ror 2 back and said I would need it to bring back next year.

The same document.

I would always get a new one because I don't trust immigration enough to take a chance on them changing there minds causing another trip to immigration.

Same thing for income letters from embassy. Mine is always less than a 2 weeks old because i would not want to make another trip to Bangkok and pay another 1600 baht because they changed their mind.

Alriight, thank you for the information.

Excuse my ignorance, but how can i ask for a kor 2? Is there a form to fill in? how much does it cost?

On a side note, what is Kor 7?

Have you wife go to the Amphoe and ask for it. She probably will need to show her ID card and house book to get it.

I have no idea what a Kor Ror 7 is.

Believe at most about 20 baht. Just show and ask for new copy.

Have no idea what a Kor 7 is - are you sure it is not TM.7 (which is the application for extension of stay).

Can't I go by myself as she works from Mon to Sat?

Also, would the immigration ask for a freedom to marry form? I know it sounds crazy but who knows. I have mine from last year?

You should be able to obtain but take marriage certificate and passport to prove it is you. The freedom to marry is a one time thing (until you marry again) so if you provided last year should not be asked and if it is the same copy presented.
