I have W7 on my desktop, Android on the phone and old tablet, and W8 in a hybrid tablet/PC

Sure the Metro Tiles take some getting used to, but are much better when using it as a tablet. And you can arrange it how you want instead of rifling through long lists of programs. It's ok with me.

W8 boots up in 8 seconds, and shuts down even faster. There's some nice tools such as reinstal at the touch of a button, and other things.

The Metro thing is still in its infancy and some programs don't really work well with the touch screen. Although Internet Explorer is a surprise hit for me - faster, smoother and all round better than Chrome or my favourite Maxthon browser.

I am surprised I miss Android apps like some of the nice ebook readers, or the great stock simple calculator.
