At Least Two Dead In Texas Passenger Bus Accident

<p>IRVING, TEXAS (BNO NEWS) -- At least two people were confirmed dead after a passenger bus rolled over in the state of Texas, local authorities said Thursday.

</p>

<p>The passenger bus was carrying over 40 people when it suffered the fatal accident on President George Bush Turnpike on Highway 161 in Irving, Texas, near the state's Dallas area.

</p>

<p>The bus was heading toward the state of Oklahoma, as the passengers were on a gambling trip to the casinos, when it hit a rubber attenuator, which caused it to lose control and hit the concrete barrier between lanes and ultimately flip over.

</p>

<p>Emergency teams rushed to the scene and helped the trapped and injured passengers exit the ill-fated bus. Lonny Hashell, from the Department of Public Safety, spoke with local media and confirmed the deaths of two passengers.

</p>

<p>In addition, 41 others were reported injured, including 36 who were hospitalized. Sixteen of them were reportedly in critical condition, but few details were immediately available.
