What's this the "Forgive & Forget speech" just more diretribe for the masses to be forgotten tomorow cheesy.gifclap2.gif ............coffee1.gif

How long have you been in Thailand?

The expression of such sentiments by those with power is an intrinsic part of the festival. One of my associates called me up yesterday to wish me a happy new year and to express remorse for any wrongs he did me in the past year. Rather decent of the chap. I expect that if you have any Thai friends outside the bar scene, they will do the same.

The friends/associates I have, farang, Thai, etc have no need to apologize as they have done nothing , intentionally, which could be construied as a wrong. to me.

Forgivness comes from the heart of the wronged, when they have made pece with themselves, not when someone with a long history of such actions, asks for it. Go to the temple or confession instead of making another public grandstand.

I am in the same position as you with friends and associates.

There is nothing to forgive on either side.

I would consider his apology much more sincere if it was accompanied by a cheque for the the amount he has stolen from the people of Thailand, with interest.

Start with the RTP computer scam, evaded taxes, the mobile phone monopoly, evaded taxes, the Myanmar telecommunications scam, evaded taxes, etc,etc,.........................could take quite a while to calculate.

You might want to consider in the cost the government spent putting down his terrorist thugs miserable attempt at a coup to bring him back into power.

We can only wish that was so

The fact is the masses will remember it and Thaksin will have forgotten it.

That is presuming he even knows about it. Remember it is on his facebook posting. He more than likely has some one looking after that and twitter for him.

Predictable verbal diarrhea. Back to seeking revenge in full next week. Sociopath's continue to play the game. Below are the ten traits of sociopaths - a dead fit to Thaksin.

From experience and quoting the following -

"... One of the more offensive duties of being an investigative journalist is taking out the trash -- exposing liars, fraudsters, con artists and scammers for the people they truly are. Each time we investigate a sociopath, we find that they always have a little cult group following of spellbound worshippers who consider that particular sociopath to be a "guru" or "prophet."

Sociopaths are masters at influence and deception. Very little of what they say actually checks out in terms of facts or reality, but they're extremely skillful at making the things they say sound believable, even if they're just making them up out of thin air.

1) Sociopaths are charming

2) Sociopaths are more spontaneous and intense than other people

3) Sociopaths are incapable of feeling shame, guilt or remorse

4) Sociopaths invent outrageous lies about their experiences

5) Sociopaths seek to dominate others and "win" at all costs

6) Sociopaths tend to be highly intelligent

7) Sociopaths are incapable of love and are entirely self-serving

8) Sociopaths speak poetically

9) Sociopaths never apologize

10) Sociopaths are delusional and literally believe that what they say becomes truth

Wow! I know a lot of people in Thailand that have the same characteristics.

See slapout's post #23

It says forgiveness comes from the heart.

Nothing to do with a special day of the year. Your associate was just saying words to you as that is what is done by many Thais during this festival. He probably is laughing at you now.

A nasty, manipulative piece of work. Socio-path? Perhaps - this behaviour suggests so.

I was unaware that you had formal training as a mental health clinician. You should consider putting it to use in the health care system of Thailand as there is a shortage of such specialists and it is one of the few health specialties where the MoH welcomes foreigners.

Just because you were unaware he had the training that is not a reason for you to pass up the chance to make use of it.

The multiple minds of this creature Thaksin are indeed astounding, he is in no position to ''offer forgiveness'' however he is in a position where he should be asking for or rather groveling for forgiveness.

Now Mr.Thaksin, you think that you are in one of your minds the Saviour the new Messiah that will lead Thailand to worldwide glory , the Thai people to untold wealth and indeed an Asian Utopia. The adoration of the Thai people in your multiple minds indeed outshines the adoration that any person could want. This being the case come back to Thailand.

In your minds you'll receive a heroes welcome as soon as your blessed sacred feet touch the tarmac when you alight from your personal jet, the people will throw themselves at your feet and form a human carpet for you to walk upon. The escort to Parliament where you will take over in an overt fashion from your puppets will indeed be a grand spectacle.

The outpouring of love for you and your ideals will indeed assure you of a personal paradise never before attained by any other human being , that is of course if you consider yourself one of we lesser mortals '' a human being"' of course. The wiping clean of the slate concerning your little mishaps will of course be accomplished by the thought police and the restoration of your ill gotten gains will of course be sponsored by the Thai people, indeed your dreams are manifold in their grandeur. Now let's look at the real world that exists out of your minds.

The truth is you are nothing more than a common criminal a convicted bail jumping felon who if you dared to return to Thailand would have to face the unpalatable truth of a possible very short stay in prison, contempt from a large majority of the population the prospect of a power struggle from within your own paid for sponsored political movements as the paid lackeys would and are indeed reluctant to cede power to you and your family and your brown nosing acolytes.

Those nicely cut suits would have course have to be a little more generous in their cut so as to accommodate the Kelvar underwear you would need to wear every minute of the day, many people despise you and your arrogance and your despotic actions and ideals.

Yes Mr. Thaksin you need to seek forgiveness, you are not in any position to offer forgiveness truth be known, however you have never met Truth head on have you so any such acquaintance with the truth is not part of your multiple mind processes is it ?

You cannot give that which you have not got in your case that gift being ''honesty.''

Stay in Dubai and vegetate and pine for Thailand the country you have tried and still are trying to destroy.

Bathe daily in your crocodile tears as I have heard they are good for rejuvenating ones thick skin, indeed such a nourishing balm would indeed be most useful to you .

If he misses Thailand as much as he claims, he merely needs to return to Thailand, and serve out his sentence. I may be wrong but I think the sentence was only 2 years or so? Had he done that in the first place he would have been out a long time ago. I'm sure they would have given him a very luxurious jail cell

I think he is lying when he says he misses Thailand, he really only misses being in power in Thailand.

Good post, Old Man Kangaroo:

But you should really provide a reference/citation for the source you seem to be using.

I too hadn't realized I knew a few sociopaths until I met some certain people in Thailand. I had to search the www to try to figure out what was on about these people. I finally found this:

Having dealt with a few true sociopaths over the years, I see this this list is spot on,

and needs no reference, but a reference would be most an book on abnormal psychology.

Seems to have been pulled from this site.

http://www.psychologytoday.com/blog/insight-is-2020/201304/understanding-the-sociopath-cause-intention-relationships

There is a general trend to certain definitions of the signs of a sociopath across all these references.

Game of Thrones isn't something I have watched, but there were some clips on the t.v. last night, one had a line in it that stood out and I'll paraphrase.....

"Thaksin would watch Thailand burn to the ground if he could be King of the ashes"

I'm always reminded of the line from Milton's 'Paradise Lost' every time another report of Thaksin's behaviour comes out:

"Better to reign in hell, than serve in heaven".

That seems to be his manner of thinking.

Another quote from the poem, quite fitting for this topic, is

"And plunge us in the flames? or from above

Should intermitted vengeance arm again

His red right hand to plague us?"

I ran out of likes so here is a printed one.

I like it

So true in describing Thaksin.

My respect for poets has risen.

They have left deep scars upon humanity…

Myriads of human spirits that cried out in agony

From shadowy places where nightmares

Became appalling realities!

Soulless, they ruthlessly destroyed …

Devoid of even the remotest hint

Of human decency and compassion,

Their empty, cruel hearts cold as ice!

Some of them small in stature,

All of them evil incarnate

They unleashed upon the earth

Unspeakable misery and profound fear!

Throughout the centuries they kept coming…

And one by one they gathered followers,

Armies to carry them into glory…

Sacrificial lambs for their massive egos!

It’s the future now, but nothing has changed

The charismatic despots keep on coming

Only now they’re far more adept at disguise!

They look just like you and me.

And most of the time we don’t even know…

When they’re standing right next to us!

He knew nothing.

The world was in a position of economic boom. He just took advantage of it. Put him in complete control in today's economic woes and Thailand would be a hurting nation. Instead of offering chickens to Sweden for Jets they would be offering rice.

I will give you an example of how little he knew.

Suvanabhum one of his triumphs designed so they would only have one airport Here we are 6or 7 years later reopening the old one and trying to attract international travelers and air lines to it.

Even with the traffic it has taken away from Swampy Swampy is still to small.

The problem all started when his wife did not own enough property to do the job correctly.
