[Myanmar] Security Beefed Up In Burma After Terrorism Threats

Restrictions on traveling to Burma have been imposed and security tightened following Indonesian Muslims’ calls for holy war against the country, Eleven Media reported. The security forces’ network informers has also stepped up efforts to gather information to prevent an attack, according to the local news website. Police Lt Col Min Aung said there were reports “terrorists†were trying to enter the country to carry out bombings. Regional police forces were mobilized. Magway’s Director Min Yu Shein said: “We are cooperating with the police informers and the police forces. The police and soldiers are now patrolling the region every day.â€
