I don't live in Bangkok and have real problems finding dollars in the Country.

Any suggestions greatly appreciated.

What do you mean with lower Sukhumvit?

Normally any bank will sell you foreign currency, smaller branches you will have to order a few days in front.

Opposite Central World Plaza there are some exchange offices (in small sois behind/''around''' Big C). They're called Super Rich. 3 or 4 places (orange or green color), easy to find if you walk there. I always use them. They have any currency.

Just bought USD from Bangkok Bank yesterday for an upcoming trip. Local branch sends all of their foreign currencies to main branch before noon, so it is best to go to the main branch.

Concur on Super rich, if you are in the area.

On average 0.2 - 0.3 Baht cheaper per US$ then the main banks.

Only the big office in the soi past Big C sells, the smaller exchange boots they have do not sell foreign currency.

You need to bring some foto ID (passport or driver license) to Super Rich!
