[Myanmar] Us President Obama Urges Nkorea To Follow Burma’S Reforms

Featured Replies

US President Barack Obama on Thursday urged long-time US opponent North Korea to enact reforms along similar lines to Burma at a meeting with his South Korean counterpart Park Geun-hye in Seoul. North Korea should “take notice of events in countries like Burma (Myanmar), which, as it reforms, is seeing more trade and investment and diplomatic ties with the world, including the United States and South Korea,†XXXX reported. Last year, the US pledged $170 million in aid to Burma and began to normalize relations, including providing military aid to the military it until recently openly vilified.
