I bought it in big camera central ladprao for 14500, the filter was either 900 or 1600, can't remember to be sure. Anyway, I haven't used it much, thus its in exactly the same condition as I bought it, I still had the hood and lens cap of course. It's a good lens, as on-line reviews will tell you and there's absolutely nothing wrong with it but I need some cash for something that's come up, so I can let it go for 9k with filter. That's a good price for someone wanting to buy one.

Do not confuse ultra wide angle with a fish eye. (Lines stay straight, (kind of) .

I bought wifie a cropped Canon, the next day got her a Canon 10-22mm reviewed here, it has "almost" become the default lens on that camera. This Canon lens is meant to be by the gurus, sharper than the legendary Canon 16-35 (Full frame) and the Nikon 14-24 (FX). I dunno.

I have no idea about this Sigma above. Good or Bad. But, all I can say is that, this canon lens is the most fun lens I have played with in ages. I wish I got a Ultra wide angle years ago now. It comes in really handy, even for super close up , fun, shots of kids. These little fellas really hold their value it seems as well.

My hopeless advice is try it or this Sigma above, (heaps cheaper the Sigma is), I bet you fall in love with it too.

PS, I bought that canon lens 10-22mm used with a hood for 15,300B (23K new) at FileFoto in MBK-Bangkok with 3 month warrently.

Neither of those, its a cheap option. A good lens actually but only for outdoor usage as its a little slow. Image quality is good though. I can't remember what it cost but it was under 10k for sure but to be honest I'd only want to sell it along with the wide-angle, I could offer a good deal for someone for both, I have a very good filter for the 70-300 too, and once again its in perfect nick. I do almost exclusively portrait stuff now so never use it.

I assume this lens is equivalent to the Canon 10-22mm EF-S

and therefore will only fit bodies that take EF-S lenses?
