Genuine Free Us Proxy ?

Featured Replies

Anyone know of a genuine free USA proxy I can use for about 2 minutes to check some website coding.

Spent ages searching and all seem to be email harvesting or add related, nothing that actually works, speed isnt important either, just need the US location access.

Any help would be much appreciated.

I use this when I need a US proxy:

www.vpnsurfing.com/2010/01/free-vpn-test-account-at-usaip/

It is a test version (free) which does not expire. You just turn it on when you need it. You can turn it off any time you want. However, it turns itself off after 7 minutes and you revert automatically to your normal IPA.

It requires no configuration, just download, install and use. No advertising etc. It is slow.

I have a need for a US IP once in a while. I use http://www.anchorfree.com/ and their free software. After installing (Win7) its a 1-click thing to switch it on and off, so it's very easy to use.

Last time I used it and geotraced my IP, I was told I was in the 'burbs of Chicago.

I used http://www.justfreevpn.com/ to order my Google Nexus 4, and have used it a few other times. Like the OP, I only need it for a few minutes each year so haven't been able to justify a paid service, even though they are quite reasonable.

Thanks for that, lomatopo.

I recommend TunnelBear, available here for free, they give you 500 MB a month so you can check it out. Is also good for Germany, UK, Canada, and the US via a switch on their interface

Ditto. Although I pay to use StrongVPN on an annual subscription (works good for me), TunnelbearVPN is free and is my backup. TunnelBear uses the OpenVPN protocol vs the PPTP protocol.
