United mentions kiosks on its website. Do they have those kiosks at Suvarnabhumi? Assuming that they do, can the kiosks be used to print out itineraries, since I don't have a printer at home? Can they be used only during the check-in period, or also before the check-in counters open? How are they activated?

Many thanks.

UA did have check-in kiosks had Suvarnabhumi, I honestly don't remember if these are still in use - I fly UA to NRT every 60 days or so, but now almost always have a checked bag and the counter lines are shortish these days. I used them a few times, but they only print boarding passes. They were/are only operational during the check-in periods and are activated with a FF card or CC card.

If you are just trying to print an itinerary, can you use an internet shop? You can have an itin., and even boarding cards, emailed to you as PDFs/QR-codes.

UA does open a ticket counter service at SBIA/BKK outside of the 06:xx flight departure, and does have a CTO in town.

Perhaps you could detail exactly what it is you're trying to do and we can offer some alternatives?

I assume I need to show a printed itinerary when I check in, so I guess I'll have to go to an Internet café to print it out.

What is a "FF card or CC card"?

Frequent flyer card or credit card.

No. You do not need to show a printed itinerary to check in. You need a valid passport, visa if necessary, and you may be asked to show the credit card which was used to purchase the ticket. Check-in agents can locate your reservation quite easily with just your name.

I might make note of the record locator, a six character reference to your reservation. You should have this as part of your original purchase. You can of course look this reservation up on-line with the record locator and your last name.

Please verify you are indeed traveling on a flight operated by UA: BKK-NRT on UA 838, departing BKK ~ 06:00. (flight number and departure time is subject to change/variation.)

I got the itinerary printed before I saw your answer. They guy at the Internet shop in Washington Square not only charged for printing one page, but also one hour of Internet time even tho I used about 1 minute.

Yes, I'm flying UA: BKK-NRT on UA 838, departing BKK ~ 06:00 and have the confirmation number of my printed itinerary.

Thanks for your help.
