How Is The Market For People Who Studied Exact Sciences?

Recommended Posts

I would say...

teaching

working with one of those technical company

or..

making your own inventive products and resell/export them back to the west. It's quite inexpensive to make a photo-type trial sample here in thailand....to see if it works or not before the big production.

Supply/Demand. Is there much demand for such people who studied in these fields. When I talk about theoretical physics I mean and I'm going to copy it directly from the site of my university to give you an impression

Physics

How constant is the mass of a proton?

Are the physical constants really constant? Relativity theory teaches us that space bends in the vicinity of massive objects and that time seems to slow in galaxies that are moving away from us at high speed. But how do we know, for example, if the mass of a proton is the same as it was just after the Big Bang? Measuring the fundamental physical constants is one of the themes addressed at VU Amsterdam’s internationally renowned Laser Centre.

The study in short terms

The Master’s programme in Physics provides you with plenty of opportunities to study and engage in groundbreaking fundamental research and its applications. You will learn to test, explain and develop theories on physical phenomena, and to analyse and solve problems in a scientific way. The result is a well-rounded education: you will combine a broad understanding of physics and astronomy with in-depth knowledge of specific areas and the ability to think and work at an academic level.

This is different then the technical physics we can also get but on another university. A few examples: applied physics, architecture, civil/mechanical/aerospace/offshore engineering, infrastructure.

I already roughly know what kind of jobs I can possibly get. So my question is how is the market, the demand for these kind of people

fanta road,

Why would we be jaelous, er "jealous" of you? "We" are fans of Thailand. "We" live in Thailand. "We", more or less, are retired. "We" have a lot more than money than you do. I'm absolutely serious. On the other hand, I suggest you develop a sense of humor, a sense of who you are, and develop a much thicker skin.

move to London, join an investment bank, and earn 100K Sterling per year by the time you are 28.

I was quite serious too. You have nothing to offer here at the moment. You are young, educated, but with no work experience. Don't come to Thailand so you can earn a pittance.

There are two pieces of papers hanging on the wall in my Internet Cafe. One is in English and one is in Thai. Both are put in very elegant frames and properly stamped and verified by my embassy as recognized proofs of me having a dual degree as "Master of Science in Physics and Computer Science".

My temper didn't go for a Ph.D. - so that degree wasn't worth much in my home country. In Thailand it was worth that much, that the company I set up, succeeded in getting me a workpermit that allows me to not just be a simple managing director but also to be a sophisticated thing such as a specialist employee who's permitted to perform IT-consultancy tasks. In my homecountry I were officially qualified to teach at the very highest educational levels - in Thailand I have to be very careful, not to use the word "teach" - "instructing" is the closest I can go.

One difference between OP and me is about 30 years of age. My professional career is sort of in the process of being faded out - at which step in the evolution does OP consider his career?

Forget about it. I thought they were 20+ people pointing and laughing. But I got confused with my other thread =)

Sure I can handle a joke but sometimes when a guy wants some serious answers then his patience runs out faster then normal. And alot more when he already experienced something similar

... you already were forgotten ... until you decided to - once again - waste other people's time on telling you what you've already been told ... still without a job, are we?

You have to re-work the way that you ask a question. It may help to make people take you more seriously. There are a lot of trolls on these boards , to separate you from these trolls you must take more time to formulate your questions. Don't become aggressive, it only lessens others opinions of you. This is not derogatory, it is intended as a guide to help you obtain the questions you seek. I am not jealous nor old , yet on my near 4000 posts I have always got the info I required on Thai visa.

The power of English language is quite remarkable.

dont know the market for that type of job.

but unless your experienced or working for a multinational who send you here,or have your own means of making money, then working in thailand is <deleted>.

teaching jobs are the only real things available for you at the moment and the money is just pocket change.

but a good experience.give it a go and see.
