Popular Post Katipo Posted June 5, 2013 Popular Post Posted June 5, 2013 The sad truth of it is, that your average western man can even comprehend the complexity and level of deceit some Thai women will go to. While we have con artists etc in our own countries, it's a different breed altogether over here. those of us who have been here for a while can laugh, but this guy met her in Austrialia (from what I read) and had absolutely know idea. 7
kotsak Posted June 5, 2013 Posted June 5, 2013 i dont know where to start with this..... thai women have no morals. my last thaigirlfriend would sell her mother to get money. nasty people. I don't know which one is worse, the daughter selling the mother or the other way around..
eddie61 Posted June 5, 2013 Posted June 5, 2013 yellow fever is very dangerous to your health and financial wellbeing
Gerald14 Posted June 5, 2013 Posted June 5, 2013 Som nam na, what else can you say??? But I do not think he is very poor and will get over the loss 1
Postmaster Posted June 5, 2013 Posted June 5, 2013 Transam. He's a good HOUSEKEEPER then. I feel so sorry for the bloke letting his dx"qk rule his head like that. He is obviously a successful business-man. How much do you think he will get back?
Popular Post euroflash Posted June 5, 2013 Popular Post Posted June 5, 2013 If only the dude was from Darwin. Then he just might get an award. 6
Popular Post Kangaroo29 Posted June 5, 2013 Popular Post Posted June 5, 2013 The moral of the story: Simply don't invest with the locals in any way shape or form. Every single situation is an "OPPORTUNITY" and until thats realised stories like this will always keep us amused but never surprised ...stamp it on your foreheads in case you ever forget it. 3
Popular Post johan79 Posted June 5, 2013 Popular Post Posted June 5, 2013 why don't one if you unfortunates start a new topic where you can post the pictures of the the women who have r[pped you off. 3
simple1 Posted June 5, 2013 Posted June 5, 2013 Good luck to him, I hope he gets his money back, or at least some of it, well maybe a little. Seriously, with an Australian news network getting involved it may also garner interest in other countries, I wonder what TAT will do to counter the bad press over this one, and all the other accounts that will surely come to light as a result of the international media coverage. Thailand has a lot more serious image problems than some guy being conned out of 15m baht. There have been a number of programs in Australia highlighting scams, issues in Thailand, international dating sites, emails out of Nigeria saying you have XXXX, please send X to release the funds etc etc. It is estimated more than a billion dollars a year are lost by Australian citizens to these scams yet it continues year after year and Australian visitors to Thailand also increases year after year
harryfrompattaya Posted June 5, 2013 Posted June 5, 2013 Transam. He's a good HOUSEKEEPER then. I feel so sorry for the bloke letting his dx"qk rule his head like that. Popular Post DiamondKing Posted June 5, 2013 Popular Post Posted June 5, 2013 Good on him for filing FRAUD charges because that is exactly what it is and if more guys filed charges then the problem might not be so bad as it is. Anywhere else in the world it would be prosecuted and so should it here. 5
h5kaf Posted June 5, 2013 Posted June 5, 2013 Nothing new here. Normal romantic business practice in Thailand. Odds on that whilst he is in Hadyai progressing his case he will fall for the charms of another little beauty. As they say "no money, no honey" but also "plenty of money, lots of honey" if you can handle it all.
denby45 Posted June 5, 2013 Posted June 5, 2013 I have one in Phayao they can go arrest too... can we join a sad ripped off old man' club? Yes I agree but is should be called the Club Of No-brained Desperate Old Men (CONDOM) Hahahahahahahaha Den 1

Popular Post globin Posted June 5, 2013 Popular Post Posted June 5, 2013 i dont know where to start with this..... thai women have no morals. my last thaigirlfriend would sell her mother to get money. nasty people. Oh yeh, and there are absoposilutely NO fair dunkim aussie sheila's or amerikan southern belles that have screwed a guy for palimony or stripped them of everything in divorce courts and are not STILL collecting alimony...hahaha...a gentleman is fair game for the fairer sex everywhere. 5
Popular Post kimamey Posted June 5, 2013 Popular Post Posted June 5, 2013 i dont know where to start with this..... thai women have no morals. my last thaigirlfriend would sell her mother to get money. nasty people. I think you may be generalising a bit there. There are bad ones for sure and this looks like it's one of them but there are good Thai women out there. At least that's what my Thai wife tells me. This kind of thing makes it difficult for honest Thai women as it gives the a bad name in the same way that honest farangs get a bad name when one of them isn't honest. 3
lemonjelly Posted June 5, 2013 Posted June 5, 2013 The penis and frontal lobe of the brain rarely function simultaneously. 2
Equalizer Posted June 5, 2013 Posted June 5, 2013 The sad thing about all this is embezzlement is encouragedfrom the bottom up to the top in every way possible. They all steal from eachother, internally and externally. Thailand is Alibaba and the population is the60 million thieves. I teach my Thai falang daughter not with words butpractically, I simply tell her to watch what all the other Thais do and think.I hope the guy will become the first to rip her apart in court but my hopes arenot high considering it is accepted here. 2
egro Posted June 5, 2013 Posted June 5, 2013 why don't one if you unfortunates start a new topic where you can post the pictures of the the women who have r[pped you off. or just stick to the topic's photos. Here's the onion farmer and his half a million dollars fiancee during happier times. Malcolm McCurley and Boontip Choochuay. http://www.thailand-tip.com/nachrichten/news/sind-brautpreise-in-millionenhoehe-und-betruegereien-an-der-tagesordnung/
technologybytes Posted June 5, 2013 Posted June 5, 2013 Of course, the old saying "A fool and his money are easily parted" is very applicable here. He made it easy for her, and she took advantage of an opportunity. Who knows, she may have been sincere.. engagements get called of every day, in this case he's angry and calls it fraud. He sent the money willingly... I'd say he has no case and the Thai authorities are just playing the game.
Popular Post Spoonman Posted June 5, 2013 Popular Post Posted June 5, 2013 Jesus wept she's a munter into the bargain...... I cannot fathom how good she musta been in the sack for him to hand over the dosh. 7
Popular Post Toscano Posted June 5, 2013 Popular Post Posted June 5, 2013 I have met a few men who have suffered the same and have lost their all . I warned one friend at his wedding reception that he was about to be taken to the cleaners . He has been , robbed of all his capital , two houses and three cars . ALL Thai womens interest in foreign men is ONLY for money . There are some good women/wives among them , but many are just thieves without scruple . I am fortunately married to one of the good honest ones . I cannot believe how foolish and naive foreign men are . coming from a more advanced civilization , they make the mistake of equating Thais with themselves . Thailand is like a venus fly trap . Many women have already been married and have children , there shouldn't be a bride price for second hand goods . Bt2,900,000 was a rediculous sum to pay to get married ! 3
Lancelot Posted June 5, 2013 Posted June 5, 2013 I have one in Phayao they can go arrest too... can we join a sad ripped off old man' club?Maybe you can all get together and file a class action.Good luck with that

Anywhere else in the world it would be prosecuted and so should it here. i don't know the particulars, but how is it fraud if he has no contract and she is in sole control of the business?
Bluespunk Posted June 5, 2013 Posted June 5, 2013 you forget boys shes over here now, they protect their own,,,,,unlucky johny foreigner ,,,,,,but thanks for the money,,,,, Might be a bit different this time round with a TV company involveduntil they lose interest anyway.
Kularion Posted June 5, 2013 Posted June 5, 2013 The best is don't show that you have any money... I came here and said to my GF that I have only to start something $8.000 She is successful and beautiful business woman... well... at least she is doing not bad We are together 1,5 year already she just know that I'm poor guy and if she want someone rich she probably have to start looking for someone else ASAP as we are not getting any younger - she is my age 42 So far I haven't noticed that she is looking (and I pay close attention) so I think that she agreed that there is not money out of this relationship... She get even loan to buy car for me And this guy... 16 min THB ??? well... Good luck
Popular Post denby45 Posted June 5, 2013 Popular Post Posted June 5, 2013 I thought the guys from Oz were supposed to be tight with their money. This joke supports that theory. Sheila, the Aussie housewife got out of the shower and slipped over on the bathroom floor. Instead of slipping over forwards or backwards, she slipped, did the splits and suctioned herself to the floor. She yelled out for her husband Bruce. "Bruce, Bruce" she yelled. Bruce came running in. "Bruce, I've bloody suctioned myself to the floor" she said. "Strewth" Bruce said and tried to pull her up. "You're stuck fast girl. I'll go across the road and get Cobba" . They came back and they both tried to pull her up. "No way. We can't do it, let's try Plan B." Cobba said "Plan B?" exclaimed Bruce. "What's that"? "I'll go home and get my hammer and chisel and we can break the tiles under her and release the vacuum." replied Cobba "Spot on" Bruce said. "While you're doing that, I'll stay here and play with her tits." "Play with her tits"? Cobba said, "Not exactly a good time for that mate.." "No" Bruce replied, "But I reckon if I can get her wet enough, we can slide her into the kitchen where the tiles aren't so expensive" Den 7
