Pr Plan Is Another Sign The Wheels Are Coming Off

rolleyes.gif O.K., let the ministers explain the issues in their ministries and what they intend to do bout them.

But this time, for God's Sake, tell the truth.

Every time they come out with an excuse or a half-truth they get caught at it.

Even the red-shirts are embarrassed by the clowns that are the spokesmen now.

Even Thais are openly saying they know the current government is a bunch of idiots that can't or won't tell the truth.

Either say noting at all or tell the real truth .... it will be something new in Thai politics ... a person who honestly admits his or her mistakes (and then maybe corrects them?

Hmm, could this not apply to most governments... at least the ones who claim being a democracy?

"They are completely split into factions anyway. Generals can be bought to do anything for a fee."

That is true. Look at the former leader of the coup. Now in the government.

Look at all the politicians especialy those in government bought and paid for by Thaksin, the convicted, absconded felon.

He is their paymaster general.

The tent is collapsing all around the circus clowns and still no sign of the ringmaster.

I was going to say 'in a sarcastic manner' that "at least they got one thing right"...........but then couldn't think of anything!!!!sad.png.

Five other ministers have been put in charge of publicising a project or an issue.

Deputy Prime Minister Plodprasop Suraswadi the water-management project;

Excellent choice, look at all the friends he made in Chiang Mai.

Isn't this what ministers do? Explain the issues of their ministries to the public?????

But is that what they are doing????
Well they are going to put their single version out there instead of having every pm and his dog making individual statements and also cut yingluck out of saying anything.

When has Yingluck ever said anything about her gov't, except to pass the buck on to someone else.

Last week she got caught out about the rice.

Reportedly said "enough", and stomped off.

The last time it took a few weeks to get the various factions in line to come out for the coup.

Presumably waiting to make sure the cheques didn't bounce in Switzerland.

Or to put it another way, the Thaitanic is getting ever closer to the riceberg and the captain is drunk..

Is Chalerm the Captain, because if he is , then it's a given that he's drunk. Thaksin jumped ship a long time ago, and just controls it like a Drone.

"PR plan is another sign the wheels are coming off" A bit inaccurate. How can the wheels come off if they were never on?

Well it is just a saying.

That being said you are right on the mark.

For a great many people with a liking for the color red they perceiveed it to be a vehicle with wheels.

The problem lies with transparency , these people cannot be believed, you are left wondering if the truth has been spoken or another pack of lies, an independent body should be formed and the truth be told , Ministers in this Administration like to change history to suit the occasion.bah.gif

An independent body should be formed?

Do you really know how many independent committees have been formed over the last 2 years?

Quite independent, but set up by PTP members of choice and connection.

Independent body?? :o Baa Humbug!

They trust the paymaster to honour his words and promises.

I wouldn't.

A good product sells itself. This product is rotten to the core. Bit like the traveling salesman, Yingluck. Travels the globe selling Democracy. Abhisit didn't need to as not only was he too busy running a country, but his form of democracy sold itself. He was not so insecure that he had to go telling anyone that would listen what democracy meant. Reminds me of an encyclopedia salesman. How many of those guys actually had encyclopedia's at home?

Dept. PM and Finance Minister Kittiratt Na-Ranong has an easy job. Not because he has help from Dept. Minister for Agriculture, Pheu Thai party list MP and UDD leader Nattawat who's on a tour to explain the 'rice pledge' program to farmers. Because he only has to refer to Bloomberg's article where the Big Thinker himself was quoted as saying

"2012-09-24: Former Thai Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra said a rice-purchase program should be extended for several more years, rebuffing critics who say the policy has increased government debt and encouraged corruption."

Is Robert Amsterdam going to head up this new super PR committee? And just how do they propose to muzzle all the other government "spokesmen" ministers who just feel compelled to make ridiculous announcements on a regular basis?

Hope this committee invests in some good quality Japanese calculators, not the cheap Chinese ones which make so many unforced errors...

They couldn't drive the country properly with all the wheels still on, especially if Chalerm Yabumrung is one of the chauffeurs in his usual modus operandi eg: "I think I'll get totally drunk and off my head when I meet the tea total muslim prime minister of Malaysia, our neighbouring country and important trade ally".

How much more damage to the Thai state is to be tolerated before the military have to intervene ?

Now that family and friends are in positions of authority within the military and the police, I don't think that would be a likely eventuality.
There is always a way.
After all, the military take instructions from others...they don't act independently.

Perhaps Abhisit should tell the military to intervene. He'll get the blame anyway.

Coming from Thaksin supporters who openly support instructions openly issued from a convicted criminal that has to be a blatant cheek.

With a cabinet of billionaire with big egos and small intellect is will be difficult to muzzle them so the spin team can take the lead. However, I believe there are in the dark as much as the public is, its better to hear it from the jackass horses mouth so the spin team should be located in Dubai.

Reduce the number of contradictory lies, you mean?

That was a September 2012 interview. I think it might be a little different now. They are probably looking for a way out of it and say at the same time it was a success.

I have been wondering if the minimum wage has been as big a flop, Taking into account the cost of living rise unemployed people who were already getting 300+ baht a day losing benefits and many just not getting it.

All figured in it is probably the other wheel on the oxcart the clones are pulling.

Who knows. The news is very quiet about this. A few months ago they were predicting a flood of unemployed, but the story appears to have all gone quiet. It seems the newspaper waits for the government to set the agenda and then they follow up, for a little bit.

Hard to decide if the Nation or the commentors are trying to mobilise the coups masters.

Is this a poorly translated version of a thai original or was the article poorly written?

"has dumped 600 billion into a policy to buy every single grain......."

"the actual potential losses........"

"this old wine from a new bottle...."

Who writes this hyperchloristic crap, and do they seriously think they can start another Military Coups with it?

Slightly off topic, but I saw in the last week some jobs being advertised for working in the local tessaban.(accounts and admin positions). Full time positions advertised salary per month 6,000B. This suggests that not even the government are taking any notice of a 300B/day minimum wage?

Of course Democrats welcome this stuff it is they they draft it yet do not have the ability to understand most of what they write. The fact is the present government is 'moving and shaking' with action (I know you dems like metaphors and similies cheesy.gif ). Eventually you will get hard facts on the relevent issues and outcomes. Who knows you might even win the next general election and be able to put Thailand back the way it was before democracy arrived in the land of smiles.

Is it true that PTP are adopting the old folk song " No Wheels On Our Wagon But We're Still Rolling Along " as the new party anthem ?

When Moody started to ask about the rice losses. I started humming the tune. Not long to the burning spears verse now.
