Hi all.

I fancy a sunday roast and will be in kata this morning. Any carveries there? If not a good sunday roast with all the trimmings?

That Irish Bar (forgot the name -- Angus O'Tooles?) that is on the north-eastern corner of the U-road in Karon.

But not really a carvery. Must admit I can't think of a true carvery in Kata, maybe one of the bigger hotels.

Shanti Lodge in Chalong always has a great Sunday roast dinner.
Yorkshire pudding, gravy, etc.

I've had it a few times.
Definitely worth going. ( I think it's somewhere around 300 baht)

Opted for the irish bar in karon. But upon trying to order beef or lamb was told not ready yet. When asked when it would be (so we could return later as we are staying very close) was told theyre not sure it will be ready. Im guessing the choice of chicken pork beef or lamb is reduced to just chicken and pork today

Maybe low season its not worth doing the more you xpensive meats. Shame but ho hum. Will eat elsewhere ...

Hardly 'awesome', but one of the better pub grub places in Kata. I am a regular. But no food served on Mondays. Not exactly carvery class.

Can't please everyone hehe

If you want to venture further east, Happy Days on the pier road off Chalong Circle does Sunday roasts - full size for about 320 baht, half size (still big) for 200.
