Name of the restaurant is Talay Tong

For those who love crabs ( Sri Lanka ones like in Malaysia & Singapore) this new restaurant just opened is great for that and other seafood items...so now I have 3 seafood restaurants to go to ...Lert Rot / Talay Tong / Thajene Chomchan

They have different sizes for the fresh crabs starting at 650 baht / kg to 1500 baht / kg - very fresh and has different cooking styles

Been there 2 times since and the food is great

Had the following for 2700 baht for 4 adults

2 big Crabs steamed

Fried whole Snapper with chilli lime

Scallops with morning glory

Broccoli shrimps

Talay Seafood soup

Fried rice shrimp

The stuff was rally fresh and the shrimps were huge and scallops were plump and sweet tasting

Directions : here goes ...Opp Serene Lake Moo Baan (has 10 white towers at Moobaan entrance that is really tall and hard to miss) just before the Windmill Restaurant ( has a giant turning windmill)

Driving in the direction from Big C / Home Pro Hang Dong towards Mae Hia market.

I've been there 3 times and I agree with you. The only problem is that the place has already become so popular it's getting hard to snag a table.

We have been calling ahead and the trick is to get there before 6pm...

I live right across in the serene lake Moobaan and every night when we head home the cars are stacked in the lane all for that restaurant

It is getting more popular !

As I recall, Lawrence is admittedly clueless when it comes to GPS. The only one of these place I am familiar with is Talay Tong. I don't have the exact coordinates but here are the coordinates for Pizza n Pasta. 18°44'44.21"N 98°57'15.81"E Talay Tong is located between Pizza n Pasta and the Canal Road. It's actually located between the Windmill Restaurant which is really hard to miss and the canal road. It's on the same side of the street as Pizza 'n Pasta and the Windmill restaurant.

Hahahahhaha yes I am clueless at that ! Great at eating and not driving :-)

I can't find this restaurant on google, perhaps there is another spelling? Does anyone know the opening hours of this place please?

Try googling for windmill restaurant as it is a giant landmark there ...this restaurant is just next to it and you won't miss it it has tanks of seafood at eye levels

Do they sell them live?

Yeap they have the fish shrimps and crabs live and ready for slaughter after you picked what you like

Are some Alaskan crabs there as well a few months back when they had it and that was shipped frozen but great tasty meat
