Thai censor-robots

Featured Replies

Since around 13:00h local time the robots seems to be bussy as Ipernity has been connecting to "w3.mict.go.th." and isn't opening, also ThaiVisa is dreadful slow (waiting for static).

To be more precise, when trying to connect with Ipernity first appears "waiting for u1.ipernity.com" which changes after a minute or so into: "connected to w3.mict.go.th" which doesn't disappear.

Flickr doesn't has a problem concerning that. It lasts now about one hour or more.

After about two hours everything in Ipernity is smooth again, keeping in mind that Big Brother is still at the background watching you. Once I had the same experience in Flickr when I loaded some photos of a temple-ceremony concerning Ah-Kong (Uncle SMS), where there was about two hours the same blocking-problem although press and television was at present.

This time there couldn't have been one discussion because the photos I was loading weren't "sensitive" at all..............

Just a good reminder / warning ........................!

I noticed TV was routing through the ministry earlier today. Can anyone explain what is happening in not TOO technical terms?

I mean why is it routing that way, what is the purpose? IP logging? why?

Maybe Thaivisa is being routed though mict.co.th so the Govt can root out the banned members who have logged back in with a new user name.

What are the laws in Thailand for encrypted emails in and out of the country?

I think the answer to this is no. Is the Thai government able to see MAC addresses of Thai Visa users OUTSIDE Thailand? A quick Who Is says the servers are outside Thailand.
