Finally the 100th edition of The Tour is under way!thumbsup.gif

After a somewhat chaotic end to the 1st etapp, Kittel is now in yellow after most of the other fast men were involved in crashes.

Because of all the problems during the race, all the riders were given the same time!

Cadel Evans says his Tour de France chances are over after disastrous eighth stage

CADEL Evans concedes his Tour de France victory aspirations are over after a disastrous 8th stage.

The 2011 champion was dropped 7km from the top of the final climb, conceding a whopping 4min,13sec to Briton Chris Froome (Sky).

The veteran Australian's display prompted him to declare the 195km journey from Castres to the Pyrenean summit as his "worst day."

Sitting 23rd in the general classification behind Froome and second-placed Tasmanian Richie Porte, Evans is 4min,36 down - needing a miracle to claw his way back into the top 10.

The Victorian admitted to unspecified fitness issues after being jettisoned by Sky's relentless tempo after struggling over categorised climbs to Pailhieres and Domaines.

"My worst day of the Tour while I'm healthy - nowhere in the mix and a few little problems," Evans summarised after grinding to the summit.
