Puzzled by the purported nostalgia as to how "good" it used to be. Back when we had to show up at 6AM and spend 4-6 hours to get our annual extensions and also having to go to Immigration another 4 times a year to file our 90-day reports.......those were the good old days? Not in my memory. -

One thing ya'll have now that we didn't have when I used CM Immigration: Grab Taxi. However, I'm glad I'm out of that rat race and now report to a regional office where my wife, quite literally, knows about 50% of the IOs. I just shut up, smile, and let her talk. I don't miss CM Immigration in the least. My last extension renewal I used an agent. I ❤️ rural life. Green Acres is the place to be. Farm livin' is the life for me. Land spreadin' out so far and wide Keep Manhattan Chiang Mai, just give me that countryside. -

So many food item prices continue to increase every few weeks
Almost everything in the supermarket business is in the hands of two Thai families. So there's NO REAL competition. CP Group: Makro, Lotus, 7/11, CP shops, ... https://www.cpgroupglobal.com/en/about-cp/business-lines Central Group: Central Department Store, Tops, Big C, Go Wholesale, Thaiwatsadu, PowerBuy, .... https://www.centralgroup.com/en/home So I believe it will never give a price fight between them. And they do it the same as the Supermarket chains in EU & USA. If a holiday come the prices gone up. -

There are also deniers amongst the supporters of positions who are not "socialist". Socialists are not inherently bad, nor evil and through history are the people who are most likely to take on extremism, whether it is the extremist communists, or right wing fascists. Socialists have a view that requires civil liberties and human rights to be respected, which often puts them in the firing line of the aforementioned supporters. We may think that socialists are deluded or impractical or naive, but they are not evil. They mean well and their intent is to do good. That is the exact opposite of people who engage in violent street protests or who vandalize property. Socialists are the people who gave societies public health care and other social benefit programs like workers compensation, pensions and unions. They also delivered voting rights to people who were excluded. -

Trump is getting massive investments
Since I'm not going to sit through a 41 minute video or any part of it, what I do know is that CEOs are playing Trump's policies. In fact, the indications are that businesses are holding back on spending since they don't know what new surprises Trump is going to spring on them, The Wall St Journal did a report on Apple's $500 billion investment plan. Apple said it was a response to Trump. The Wall St. Journal noted that the projection in spending was in line with what Apple had spent before. All Apple had to do was to give credit to Trump. It cost them nothing. in Trump did subsequently cancel the huge tariffs on Apple products imported from China, Quid pro quo? Who knows?
