I was thinking of 50-200 or similar & 35mm f1.8??

The former is for general stuff, aside from its social problems Phuket is beautiful & the latter for our soon to be here baby

The sigma 17-70mm f/2.8-4 dc macro os hsm can be picked up at World Camera for around 15,000 baht.

It's a fast "walk around" lens with good macro.
