All of the above replies are spot on.

This tales goes back several years.

She was here on a tourist visa but with an expired passport. The story is more complicated but some of her friends were involved in a passport scam. Genuine spouse visa holders were 'renting' their passports at £1,000 a time. These were posted to Thailand and and Singapore.

Third parties were then entering the UK to be 'bonded' in massage parlours. The ringleader got 7 years custody a Leicester Crown Court.

The person who was refused entry got out while the heat was on and met and married an Australian guy.

In that case I have absolutely no sympathy for her at all. I hope it is a lifetime ban and I consider it reasonable that the Australian Government reviews her entry and citizenship to see if any false statement was made at any time.

I do not think we need that sort of criminality. Staying because you run out of money or have a relationship that you wish to continue is one thing. Assisting bonded prostitution is another.

Not quite understand your post, was she renting her passport out or was she her using somebody elses?

to say "some of her friends were involved in a passport scam" was not she too?

I think many of us had already worked out you do not make enough money serving on tables for 18 months to build a hotel in Thailand, obviously working in a massage parlour I presume she earned a lot of untaxed income.

So when did her Aussie guy learn of her past, presume while he was ranting and raving at UKBA staff.

She was involved in the places where some of them worked but came to the UK on her own passport.

We are talking of a young good looking girl who had a high end website making thousands a week in London at the upper echelons.

I'm sure her Aussie husband knows nothing about this but this sort of person never has enough.

It won't take much googling to find out the court case. It all surfaced when a lot of Thai's fell out.

I will say the passport scam was run by a guy from a top floor room in BKK. I suspect he was just a cog in a bigger wheel and there were/are dozens of managers like him.

When the parties involved in the UK went to prison he 'disappeared'.

At the end of the day it's like the poor drug mules from Latin America and the Caribbean.
