sending parcel to NY, must arrive Aug 9, how?

Featured Replies

My NY counterpart advises against UPS, too many things arrive late. It will be some 100 pages of normal paper, nothing special. By when do I have to ship to assure delivery on the 9th? And how?

DHL is usually fastest but Fed Ex isn't too bad to the US, not very good within Asia though. Most shipping will be at least 7-10 days. So it might get there in time. Most providers have web pages that will give you quotes and time estimates.

I don't think any of them can guarantee delivery by the 9th of August. They don't have Express shipping here that I know of. EMS may make it in time if you get it out by morning.

When I ship UPS, it has always arrived (in PA) within a week.
That's from Phuket.

Good luck.

@Chicog DHL sounds very good, allowing for more time. Shipment Aug 5 delivery 7th, before 12am for some extra cash.

BTW, I just had a document Fedex'd from Guam, USA. Less than 30 hours door to door.

Really an amazing service .

Check that they have a DHL or FEDEX where you are. If not they may be slower as they rely on contractors to deliver to them to send on. If you send from their office it should be quickest.

Fedex. Find local office, deliver to there. Call first (Ph 1782.) to find local office location and closing time - otherwise you could be a day later sending.

I would send by Sat (3rd) - they will prolly have it Monday or Tuesday if no customs. Don't leave it too late.

BTW, you can't email & print there?
