Tourism Development in Satun Province

Satun Province and the Tourism Authority of Thailand’s 1st Southern Regional Office are jointly upgrade the marine tourism services, in an attempt to stimulate the local tourism market and attracting more travelers to Satun.

Mr. Manit Wattanasaen (มานิต วัฒนเสน), the Satun Governor, Mr. Suthep Kuersang (สุเทพ เกื้อสังข์), the Director of the Southern Office Regional 1, and other tourism business operators in the province held a seminar to find ways to develop the tourism capability and to upgrade the tourism service standard, to impress the provincial guests. The seminar also discussed the career opportunities for the local residents to earn more revenues.

Meanwhile, the Director of the TAT’s 1st Southern Regional Office added that in this seminar, participants have jointly planned and determined the direction to develop Satun’s tourism sector so that it would be better prepared and more modern. They are striving to create a good impression for the incoming travelers, and the TAT will be the unit in publicizing and promoting the tourism market of this province.
