Gavin is the International Coordinator and he and the staff at the hospital were excellent in handling my need - which was a CT Scan.

Just for a bit of background, I had visited Bangkok Hospital and a Doctor at the hospital had written a recommendation for me to have a CT Scan. I did not want to do this at Bangkok Hospital because I live in Naklua and it is inconvenient (around 6 hours of travel to go and return) and because it is excessively expensive (previously a Doc at Bangkok Hospital and recommended that I have an MRI (cost at Bangkok Hospital was 15,000 baht but, I had it done at BNH in Bangkok for 9.500 baht, had the a CD of the results delivered to the Doc at Bangkok Hospital, no problem and saved 5,500 baht - in this case, I was quoted 18,000 baht for CT Scan at Bangkok Hospital and 12,000 at Phyathai).

So, I contacted Gavin and he arranged for me to have a CT Scan at 9am. I did not have to see a Doc at Phyathai as they honored the instructions given by the Doc at Bangkok Hospital. I arrived at 8:40am and was finished with the CT Scan at 9:10am. I was told I would have a CD of the scan and a written analysis in an hour. I went for a walk and for some coffee and returned at 10am. By 10:15. Gavin had stopped by to say hello, I had received my results, paid my bill (saving 6,000 baht) and was out of there - I also saved over 4 hours in travel time and additional travel cost - compared to Bangkok Hospital.

Everyone was professional and friendly. Highly recommended. biggrin.png

I have edited the title to specify Phyathai Sri Racha as there are several Phyathais (nothing at all wrong with the others, but it would be good for readers to know that you refer to the one convenient to Pattaya.

I have had dealings with Gavin there also and agree, he is extremely helpful, and it overall a very friendly hospital with (by private hospital standards) very reasonable rates. They also have periodic special offers for various diagnostic tests etc which can be a real savings so it is well worth getting ion the mailing list.

The main negative to this hospital IMO is that doc qualifications are not listed online so one cannot easily choose a doctor nor know exactly what the doctor's background and special clinical interests are, hopefully this will come to pass in future.
