afm171 Posted August 15, 2013 Posted August 15, 2013 Article paints a pretty rosy picture of healthcare in Thailand, but doesn't get into much detail. Wondering what people's personal experiences are, either at Bumrungrad or elsewhere?http://mccluresmagazine.com/politics/adventures-in-healthcare
jrtmedic Posted August 15, 2013 Posted August 15, 2013 The link opens something best described as a rant ! Good (and very poor) healthcare is available in the West and the East ! Caveat Emptor !
Sheryl Posted August 15, 2013 Posted August 15, 2013 A read through this forum will quickly show a wide range of experiences, positive, negative and in-between. Very good quality health care can be had here but so can mediocre and downright substandard care. One needs to take the initiative to carefully select the right doctor(s). Or, if using the public health system (where you cannot choose your doc -- its biggest drawback IMO), you need to understand how that system is structured and what level of facility is appropriate to what need. There is a pinned thread on that.
