Where to buy Samsung 840 SSD 512 GB?

Featured Replies

Anyone know where I can buy this in BKK or online in Thailand? Are there any recommended stores in Pantip that would carry it? Anyone know what a local price would be?

I have bought products from them earlier and have a feeling that they are much more professional compared to for example Banana.

However I have never tested their warranty / guarantee policy as none of the products I have bought from them (memory, SSD) have failed yet.

For me JIB is one of the few IT shops I like in Thailand.

Invadit has it for 17,900 I've bought from them,

good and fast service

But have you ever returned any product to Invadeit for a refund or replacement?

I've bought several items from InvadeIT but never had a reason to refund anything. I did buy a power supply that, after I brought it home and unboxed it, I found had a different power connector arrangement than indicated on the box and Thomas exchanged it for a different power supply with no hesitation.

Also from an InvadeIT thread on this forum by JustAnotherFarang (post32):

I have bought numerous items from them including 5 computers, graphics card and hard drives. One of my graphics card and a power supply unit died after 2 years and 11 months of usage. Luckily they had a 3 year warranty and after communicating with Thomas I sent them back and received superior replacements within a few weeks.

In that thread, you might sense that InvadeIT has a sizable, satisfied and loyal following.

Invade IT is OK but the price seems very high. USA price for 512GB version is about US$330, with the Pro version at US$470. The Samsung large SSDs have had significant price reductions in past few months but they do not seem to have hit Thailand.

Sure you need an ssd so large? If using windows, all advice is NOT to defrag an ssd.

I run 60 + 120GB ssd on two laptops, store everything on external HDs...

just my two bob's worth. AA
