Anyone else?

I was playing Warcraft at about 5pm when my latency dropped over 8000 - unplayable. Web is very slow. Messenger wont sign in.

Strangely, NNTP is full speed - 56k (I'm on 512k). Everything else, sloooowww...

I know Warcraft wasnt' just me, as it happened to another True customer at the same time.

Still bad, 5 hours later.

Anyone else suffering?

Very similar scenario for me as well. Dead slow. Just now at 1:30 in the morning I can open a few international websites. Everyone's back today catching up on their Internet time after a long hiatus?

Same for me, got up this morning at 4:30 to raid in warcraft and latency was 10k plus. Was like that earlier. :o

I don't know if there is any association but yesterday I had the very same problem, and at the same time, with my TOT ADSL connection.

Same for me on Maxnet from Pattaya yesterday. Some international sites, including Thaivisa were dead slow, others worked perfectly normal...

Seems like some traffic goes from CAT's servers straight to the States, nad other traffic passes over Singtel's servers in Singapore first. Only one of the two connections had problems....

Very weird last night. Dead slow for any overseas links. But ran a speed test during the period and download was over 400k (on True 512 link) after about a 3 minute wait for it to start. However there was no upload speed. So it may have been a problem with CAT send?

Yes, CAT had serious problems yesterday. I believe CS-Loxinfo and True soon have their own international gateways up and running. Hopefully.

      Manhunt for Myanmar National After Fatal Home Invasion in Bangkok

      Picture courtesy of Khaosod. Police are urgently hunting a 23-year-old Myanmar man following a violent home invasion and fatal shooting in Bangkok’s Phetkasem area late night on 10 May. The suspect, identified as Mr. Sai Han, is accused of breaking into the home of 70-year-old fitness centre owner Mr. Yuttharoj, seizing his revolver, and fatally shooting him during a struggle. According to police reports, Mr. Sai Han allegedly stole the victim’s .38-calibre revolver, mobile phone, and Honda CR-V before fleeing the scene. The suspect, described as an unskilled driver unfamiliar with local roads, was last traced heading towards Rangsit after hitting multiple motorcycles during his erratic escape through the Ban Khaek and Chana Songkhram areas. Investigators are currently reviewing extensive CCTV footage and believe they are closing in on the suspect’s location. The incident is linked to Mr. Sai Han’s 18-year-old girlfriend, Ms. Pong, who is five months pregnant and had been employed by Mr. Yuttharoj since 28 April as a caregiver for his 90-year-old mother. She was arrested earlier for illegally entering Thailand and is now in custody. Ms. Pong revealed that Mr. Sai Han had previously visited the home once and had demanded money for alcohol. She described him as an alcoholic with a history of physical abuse. Although she initially requested that her boyfriend be hired to work alongside her, Mr. Yuttharoj declined after learning about his violent behaviour. Shortly before the incident, Ms. Pong received a threatening phone call from Mr. Sai Han, who said he intended to kill her. She informed her employer, and soon after, the suspect climbed over the fence and attempted to enter the house. Mr. Yuttharoj tried to prevent the intrusion by confronting him with a firearm. A struggle ensued, during which the suspect allegedly managed to wrest the gun away and fatally shot the victim. He then fled with the weapon and other items. Family members have appealed to the authorities to apprehend the suspect swiftly, citing safety concerns, especially with an elderly and bedridden relative still residing in the house.
