BANGKOK: -- After four suspected Malaysian gangsters were caught trying to enter Thailand in Bukit Kayu Hitam last week, officials said announced that foreigner gang members found in the country will face tough legal action.

The gangsters were attempting to cross the border into Thailand to have their tattoos removed.

Due to increasing crime rates the Malaysian government began cracking down on gang members last month. To date 4,000 arrests have been made.

One law for everybody surely, penalty based on offence not nationality..but as this is a cake and eat it society- access to and compartitive justice vary wildly...recently tourist courts have been mooted-again very ominous.. Thailand isn't a signatory of many international jurist norms as it is-eg no stenographer the presiding judge merely scribbling what HE thinks is worth noting...thus no transcripts or records for future appeals ...What little rights we have are irksome to them, they'd rather we had none-just the way it is.
