Has anyone bought these strips lately around Pattaya/Jomtien? I need to buy this coming week. Also if I can't get them what meter has strips available?

Thanks in advance.

The have testing strips for that meter at Fascino - saw them last week.

As for the One Touch Horizon meter - they stopped selling strips for that about 2 years ago, and also for the new meter I bought at Fascino, after the assistant assured me it wouldn't happen - that's the EasyGluco meter.

Thanks tropo.

I couldn't believe it. My favorite pharmacy said they would order them for me. I remember many times this last four years having trouble finding these strips in Thailand.

Fascino is a good pharmacy for sure. Also a very good pharmacy is the little pharmacy directly across the street from the Rom Phoa Market in Jomtien on Second Road(New Road). It is my favorite.

The other option is buying them online through eBay, but mostly the shipping is too expensive and often slow.

AccuCheck what? They normally had the type where you needed a transfusion amount of blood to wet it. smile.png Have always had to order on Ebay for Aviva model (and that is so old name has been changed to something else now).

As disgusting and unconventional and non-medical this sounds, tasting a tad of pee will indicate if there IS sugar in your urine???

NO, this is not good advice.

By the time appreciable amounts of glucose show up in the urine your blood sugar will be well over 180 mg/dl.

This point is called the renal threshold of glucose (RTG). This is well into the diabetic range, either fasting or postprandial.
