Wedding dress

Johnny asked his mother why a wedding dress is white.
The mother replies: "This shows that the bride is a virgin."
Johnny thanked his mother and wants a confirmation of his father and ask anyway: "Dad, why is a white wedding dress?"
The father looks surprised to Johnny and answers:
" All home appliances are white isn't it "
