Survey on Teachers Hourly rates at Government Universities

Featured Replies

I am conducting a survey to see what hourly rates are being paid to NES teachers for any extra work they do outside their contract hours and would appreciate any feedback you can supply.

Can any teachers working in Rajabhat Universities please let me know what hourly rate they are paid for the following:

Working on weekends teaching weekend students.

Working on weekends doing English language training for staff or outside government departments.

Doing any other English language training, including English Camps on top of their contract teaching hours during the normal working week.

Thank you for your assistance.

My experience is the standard government rate is B600/hr net. Although net hourly rate can be as low as B150.

Some might say 'I don't see how anybody would work for that.'

It poses the question 'Is working only about how much is offered?'

Difficult to attain an accurate assessment with any survey isn't it? Furthermore the majority of foreign teachers at that university are not NES.

Best regards
