Alleged killers in Phuket

There has been a bit of press lately about Lee Aldhouse and Mick the Pom, also there was the body in the suitcase on Chao Faa Road.
One alleged killer hasnt made the papers lately. Whats going on with Stein ? Has he been found guilty? Where is his trial at?

He is in Bangkok. The trial has been delayed several times.

I think because of the dispute with how much the family wants out of him.

There is a lot of property involved and that tends to bring out the greed.

I highly doubt that. The family stood to gain several large expensive properties if the girls body was discovered regardless of how she died because Stein had put all his properties in her name. A death certificate is all they needed to take possession. He had very little liquid assets other than a truck and a couple motorbikes.

I remember reading that there was a delay once because he rejected his translator.

Why bangkok? I woild have thought he would be held in Phuket

There was a reason for the change of venue but I don't recall what it was now. I'll see if I can find the article.

EDIT: I just found an article from August 22nd from the website which cannot be named here (Rule 31) which states he is back in Phuket, so I guess the trip to Bangkok was temporary. One of the reporters for (Rule 31) got a pretty interesting interview with him. The article says the trial is progressing slowly, he has lost a lot of weight, that he says somebody is trying to kill him but won't say who, and that he has an infected wound on his leg that he isn't receiving any treatment for. He maintains that her death was an accident but that he hid the body because he was afraid the police would treat it as a murder. The next court date is Oct. 8th.

Interesting...greed?

Apart from wanting justice to be done and seen to be done, don't you think that some sort of major compensation should be obtained by the family ?There is no value to put on it but surely even the maximum one can get is still not enough..

Nothing brings back a lost loved one, but the callous act of hiding of her body for years ,apart from the fact that he killed her, caused so much grief that is also cause for reparation.

Hahaha. . justice in Thailand. Good one.

The family can't bring her back but they sure will fight for those assets. Even the cop ex boyfriend is trying to claim one.

Free for all for anyone who thinks they are entitled.

Also, do you really think that they have no right to fight for those assets?

Its called reparation.

The ex boyfriend doesn't yet he has applied for the Kata Villa.

Just a greedy cop profiting from an unfortunate situation just because he lumped a seed into her.

Horrible money squabbling is just part of death. Happens everywhere.

According to longtermer pal of mine #2 for Mick the Pom, he murdered a fellow farang about 20 years prior to the Thai GF, and for whatever reason, no government will touch the guy........nasty bit of work for sure.

Aldhouse, hopefully they throw the book at the guy and he does 10 years at the Bangkok Hilton before shipping his sorry ass back to the UK to serve the rest. A number of posters posted he never would be extradited, never set foot in a Thai court, glad to see all of those people were wrong.

Stein? Murdered June (even if by accident, still homicide) and was then living with her while she decomposed in a trash can. That he has an infection, or, has problems in jail, boo-fckg-hoo. How could you live with yourself after doing something like that? How can any sane person carry on day-to-day normal activities after killing someone and stuffing their body in a trash can? If it truly was an accident, then he would have called an ambulance and admitted all right away.

I just hope like hell that whomever is ''trying to kill him'' doesn't succeed..not yet!! He needs to do serious hard time for his crimes..after maybe 15 years inside then hand him over to the guy who wants to kill him.......

That is a fair play in light of his scummy deeds.[iMO]

That was 5 days ago - still no news report. I guess that court date was cancelled.

Sorry, meant Nov. 8th.

In terms of the properties, they don't need to fight for anything. They were all in June's name and now they are in the parents names.

Yes it was reported that something was going to the Patong policeman husband (not boyfriend) because "he was kind to the children".
