This was taken in the area where Thais have fun with water during Songkran or Thai New Year. If you notice they mostly pour water down each others backs wishing them a happy New Year. In the bar and guest house areas filled with tourists it is more of a in your face throwing water as hard as they can. Most Thais avoid the tourist areas during Songkran except bar girls and lady boys.
