Nearest Immigration Office to Chalong

Featured Replies

Where's the nearest Immigration office from Chalong where I can get an extension on a tourist visa.

Phuket Town, direction Saphan Hin. Or if you prefer that, go to Patong, office is on the beach road.

Anyone know what these immigration offices are like for extending a 60 day tourist visa when there's about 5 weeks left on it. In the visa forum, the answer seems to depend on the immigration office.

you need to go to the main immagration office in phuket town

its located in phuket town on phuket road on the RHS just before the roundabout at the enterance to sapan hin park

Unless things have changed they cannot do it in patong, just 90 day reports there

PHUKET: -- The long-closed Patong Immigration sub-office is to reopen on Thursday (June 13).

The services offered will not be the full menu. The officers will handle tourist visa extensions, 90-day reports and address certificates for drivers licenses and so on.

Called into Patong for my 90 days reporting a couple of weeks ago. Chatted with a guy doing his tourist extension.

Did they want a copy of the front and visa extension pages of your passport

They did with me on my last 90 day report in PT, first time ever, new officers

I always supply front, current extension stamp, and arrivals card pages. The officer always accepts them.

You must be the exception, Even the volenteer immagration officers in phuket town said it was something new and only required by the 2

new thai officers, the third thai officer who has been there a long time does not require copies

At one stage they were just stamping your old 90 report with another 90 extension

Due to go in again next week it will be interesting to see what they require this time

Psst small advise,

The left two officers at the front row ( lady and young man) don't require copies, the two old grumpy officers at the right side ask for copies

Be wary about parking in Phuket Immigration n Phuket Town. I accidentally parked in one of the immigration officers spots. A car then parked me in and I rang a phone number that I saw in the car. An immigration officer appeared shortly after and blasted me quite badly as it was his car and he deliberately parked me in so he could confront me. He demanded to see my passport and carefully screened it to see if could get me on something. He also wanted to know why i was in Phuket. I told him i was on holidays, I apologised but I couldnt bring myself to wai him. He was extremely pissed off

Yes i know mate thats what the volenteers told me

It does not worry me, when i go in next week i will have copies,if they want them they can have them if not who cares

a few of the officers love screwing people around, if they cannot get to you they stop smiling and look grumpy

Just take a book to read that gets to them, on there notice its supposed to take no more than 15 minutes for any service

Ok then try parking in the place with the roofing over the top. I will be impressed if you get out unscathed, and I dont care who you think you know or how much Thai you think you can speak

Sure..

I believe it is clearly marked as officers parking only.

If so don't be surprised that they block in your car when a officer cant park his car.

No its not. Only 3 or 4 spots have names marked on them
