Armed robbery of an English owned house in Jomtien.

Police Major Chaleurmgiet from Dongtan Police Sub-Station in Jomtien was called to the Viewpoint Village after receiving information from a resident that an armed house robbery had just taken place. The house owner, Mr. Richard White aged 53 from England lives with his Thai Wife, Khun Sawigar and their 2 year old daughter. At the time of the robbery, Khun Sawigar was on the ground floor and Mr. White and his daughter were on the 1st floor, when three men knocked on the front door and a hand gun was pointed at the woman. The three men entered the house and began to search for any items of value. Without being aware that armed robbers were inside his house, Mr. White made his way back to the ground floor. When the three men saw him, they fled. They managed to steal a mobile phone valued at 13,000 Baht. Nothing else was taken. Full descriptions of the men were given to Police and they are now being located.

This tendency on people to exaggerate the news really bothers me, In the last 3 months I've counted at least 1,000,000 exaggerations.
