Two women in Sweden invent an invisible bicycle helmet

Featured Replies

Could this one day evolve into a helmet for motorcyclists? As this product is, it certainly has to be better than nothing, or even the cheapest helmets available everywhere here in Thailand.

Amazing.

Can you imagine the confusion that would cause at police checks ??

The BiB wouldn't know what to do :)

It's an airbag for heads.

Good idea... Hope they do make millions

A misfire could cause an accident though.

Amazing new invention...It will make them a fortune...

i wish they created an entire body suit, since most cyclists break their collarbone, massive road rash, etc...

i will then create the invisible baht, invisible visa, and the all-important invisible suitcase.

You'll hurt more when they create the invisible bargirl.

Given that it's a roll of plastic sheeting, a cylinder of compressed gas, plus accelerometer and associated electronics, it looks like it would be awfully hot and uncomfortable when worn around the neck in warm weather.

It would be interesting to see what would happen if it gets turned around a bit on your neck before it goes off.
