Travel Alert: Red Shirt Rally outside Central World - Sun. Nov. 10

Featured Replies

Just passed by CentralWorld around noon today and there's another Red Shirt rally brewing there... So be aware for anyone planning to travel through the Ratchaprasong Intersection area this afternoon.

They appeared to be staging outside the Amarin Plaza but planning to gather between CW and Gaysorn Plaza. They were just in the early stages when we passed by today.

This is where the BMA Live Traffic App comes in handy.

Two cameras give you a good indication of what's going on.

The anti-amnesty rally is showing on the camera that is situated Charoenkrung Rd and Triphet Road. Quiet at the moment but kicks off later - been watching it a few days now.

Whilst one of the pro-amnesty on Ratchadamnoen Nok Rd has a camera displaying what's going on down there... Which looking at it, isn't much.

The cameras tend to flick on off and very much dependent on the weather...

There also appears to be a web version of those with approx. 100 traffic cameras around Bangkok listed. But I'm not finding one for Ratchaprasong yet among the list.

And here's another version of the same kind of info via the web... Clicking the little camera icons loads the webcam images for that location.

somebody needs to come up with a good Thai translation of the idiom 'we reap what we sow' and send it to Suthep Thaugsuban.

I think someone once tried and that's how they ended up with that rice scam nonsense :P

Bingle = Australian slang for car accident.

I think that should refer more to Thaksin and Yingluck at the moment.

How on earth they imagined they could get away with that revised amnesty bill I just don't know. It just proved again how stupid they are when it comes to politics and how expert they are at coming up with DUMB IDEAS!!!
