Wong's Bar on Soi Sribumphen

Featured Replies

i love the place and go there weekly, but i heard that its a shadow of its former wild self. is that true?

If that means that it's not nearly as smoky, I'll check it out again. I liked the decor and the dive bar feel, but after an hour in there, I had to leave to survive.

I have asthma and I haven't found Wongs to be so bad. OF course its pretty packed on weekends, better during the week

I live just across Rama 4 from there. I have always wanted to go there for a beer but the one time I did it was before 10pm and not opened yet. Thanks for the post and one of these nights I will drop in for one or two or three.

the vhs vids of music videos they play from 60's to now are great too. really adds to the dive/retro atmosphere

Is it still open until early, early hours of the morning? How much is a beer in there now?

Haven't been back since Wong died - the dear old bugger. Still miss him. Man, did he and I have some great nights in that bar.
