His presentation of the place was a marked improvement but the writing was on the cards when I was a long stayer there 3yr since and P. Tried to sell the place to me for 3 mill plus 60k a month.

I think the fact that the OP put the word 'Owner' in brackets and the second poster mentions fleecing etc sums the 'setup' (pun? intended) well!

I enjoyed his company and he set up The Queen Vic as well as The Club House (later renamed as The Hungry Horse) on Loy Kroh. The last I heard he had moved to Cambodia.
