New Northern Thai Restaurant in Mae Jo

Hueneuikad is a nice big clean place with good food! Went there today for the 79 bht "Kanom Chin" Buffet which is rice noodles with different sauces (5 kinds today). They also had other rice noodle dishes, make your own som tum (but they came to my table and ask if I would like some and made and delivered it), fried soy beans and herbs, some curries incl. a real nice pork and young jack fruit one, sticky rice, steam rice and all the accouterments plus dessert incl.

The well dressed owners met us at the door and welcomed us and through out the meal stopped by to see how we were doing and joined me at the buffet to explain the food and often added more to my plate if I wanted it or not! Really felt welcome and appreciated. I asked where the term "Kanom Chin" originated and even got a detailed history of the cuisine in well spoken English, all this for 79 bht!!

They also server diner with an extensive and well priced menu. The house dish is bbq salt encrusted Tab Tim fish.
