Mae Sai border run - least busy week-day?

Featured Replies

Hi there, a couple of questions regarding travel from Chiang Mai to Mae Sai...

What is the least busy day of the week to travel up there - traffic wise? What is the most busy day?

Anyone recommend a good bus company located between the Old City and the university?

thanks....

There is no real answer for the least or most busy day....it varies on a day to day basis. Some Mondays that Ive been its extremely busy, other Mondays very quiet. About the only time you can just about guarantee that it will be busy are the days prior to holidays or celebrations.

Ive been there just about everyday of the week and I can never judge either traffic conditions or immigration queues until I get there.

As for buses in your area, sorry cant help. I swear by the Green Bus line, always a good ride and the drivers are a lot safer than mini coach drivers (Or so it feels!)

Cheers
